The L3Pilot Summer School for the Automated Driving Implementation and Testing is streaming right to you on September 9-10. The L3Pilot Summer School at a glance:

How to join the L3Pilot Summer School 2020 with success. The 3 key steps:

  1. Click on the link https://l3pilotsummerschool2020.eu/ (-> external link) to be automatically relocated to the Virtual L3Pilot Summer School 2020 environment. Experience all the inspiration, learning and real-time engagement with the academia and industry.
  2. Register to the website via “Click here to register” link under “Existing Users Log In”, in order to access our streaming.
  3. As soon as you register and login, type your full name and e-mail address under “Join our Q and A” for interaction purposes on our platform on the right side and press “Join Event”.

You are now logged in and may follow the agenda.

Note: Registration is mandatory to access the streaming. For this purpose, you are kindly requested to join the event 3 minutes before the indicated start time.

The dedicated L3Pilot Summer School website is designed to offer the audience three advantages: a) to follow live the presentations through the streaming window on the left side of the screen, b) to post or react to questions posted and interact with other attendees through the Q and A window on the right side of the screen, c) to cast your votes (active only during the Poster Pitches Session) and select the best Poster Pitch through the integrated Polling platform Sli.do on the right side of the screen.

In case someone wishes to only follow the presentations and not submitting a question then she/he may simply select the Full-Size mode from the streaming window.

You are strongly encouraged to submit your questions at any time during each session and not only during the Q and As Sessions.

Few useful remarks for the audience in the QnAs:

  1. Please try to limit your questions in the thematic discussed by the session that is currently running
  2. Feel free to interact with posted questions via the “Like” button, on the right hand side of each posted question. That will help us select the most popular questions and transfer them to the speakers of the related session.
  3. Please try to limit your replies to posted questions to the question being asked.
  4. If you wish, you may indicate the speaker to whom your question is targeting using @Presenter Name (e.g. @Anastasia B.) as part of your posted question (i.e. inside the question text).

Posters & Poster Pitches Session

All posters submitted with success to the L3Pilot Summer School are available below. The authors will have the opportunity to present the central result of their posters during the Poster Pitches Session to be held on September 10. To make the best use of the allotted time, audience is strongly recommended to delve into the posters before the Session starts and attend the Q&A Session ready to ask any questions and discuss the materials. There will not be time for each presenter to walk through their entire poster. It is also desirable for the audience to post their Poster questions during the session and not await for the Q&As session to start. About the L3Pilot Summer School

With a focus on the theory and practice of Automated Driving Implementation and Testing, L3Pilot invites researchers, PhD students, developers, technicians and other professionals to learn more about  the progress of the largest European pilot-testing of SAE Level 3 driving functions implemented by L3Pilot partners as well as to discuss the latest findings and main challenges in the areas of Automated Driving Technology (AD), namely: the key enablers of AD, the Testing and Validation Framework, the AD Human Factors in automotive engineering and the Impact Assessment of the AD Deployment.

During the L3Pilot Summer School prominent speakers from academia and industry, both internal and external to the L3Pilot consortium, as well as key-experts from other European projects and international initiatives in the field, will join the event to thoroughly present the latest SoA developments, exchange knowledge and contribute to the ongoing discussions about the future of AD.

The Summer School will also provide the ground for senior and junior researchers and PhD students to expand their expertise and networks and present their research work through a dedicated poster area to a number of academics and highly qualified professionals in the field.
